Saskia Smart - Coach
Saskia has been a member of starlights since it was established and was part of the first competitive team in 2011.
She has since competed in a variety of levels and dance styles and was made captain of her team up until the 2019/20 season.
After assisting with many dance classes over the years, in 2016 she got her BGU cheer qualification in levels 1 & 2 and has since got her level 3 in 2019.
Saskia took a step back from competing at the end of the 2018/19 season so she could work on more coaching and is currently the coach of our Mini 1 team and co-coaches the Junior 2 and senior teams.
Kristianna Theologou - Head Coach
Kristianna established Starlights in 2010 to allow her to channel the passion she had for Dance and Cheerleading. Having trained professionally at Millennium Performing Arts, London. Kristianna wanted to combine her love for Cheer with her passion for Dance therefore Starlights was born!
Whilst working professionally as a dancer she felt it was time to pass on her skills and create the next generation of Athletes and performers. Her qualifications include BGU Levels 1, 2 & 3, Trinity Diploma in Performing Arts, Millennium Diploma Performing Arts to name a few.
Lee-anne Mounteney - Coach
Lee-Anne is a competitive level 2 - 4, cheerleader who became a member of Starlights in 2013. In 2016 she earned her BGU level 1 & 2 cheerleading qualification and went on to gain her level 3, 4 and 5 cheerleading qualification in 2017. She is also First Aid Qualified (Emergency First Aid and Paediatric). Lee-Anne has lead both dance and cheer school clubs for a variety of ages at main stream and special educational schools. She has recently graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University where she was both Vice Captain and Captain for their University cheer team CCCU Jets. Lee-Anne is currently the coach for the competitive Starlights Tiny Team and assists the with the Junior 1 and Youth 1 teams.
Susan worked as a professional dancer performing all over the world for more than 13 years. Establishing Brooks Academy Of Dance in 1993. Many of her Students have gone on to gain places at prestigious dance college and have gone on to have very successful careers in Performing arts. Susan teaches our Tiny and Mini Pom and lyrical athletes of which all have won many 1st place Trophies, Grand Champion in Dance and national champions. She also helped our Mini pom team gain a bid to The Dance Summit in 2019 where they placed 10th in the world for their age division. She also has a paediatric first aid qualification.
